We support the Village of Hope Lazarus Project in Haiti.
From their site:
Village of Hope Lazarus Project is an interdenominational 501(c)(3) organization supported by many churches, organizations and individuals throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. It is a Christian fund raising organization committed to supporting programs and ministries that promote excellence in education, spiritual growth and primary health care of Haitians in need. We believe the value of education, the impact of primary health care and the power of spiritual growth will result in the empowerment of Haitians.
Founded in 1991 by Padre Horacio Castillo, the ILAG (Iglesia Luterana Agustina de Guatemala) ministers to people from the margins of Guatemalan society, particularly the indigenous poor. The church has about 2,000 members in 17 congregations. The ILAG also operates an elementary school in Guatemala City.
Quilts for Lutheran World Relief
During the winter season (Oct through about April/May) the ladies of the congregation get together and assemble quilts for Lutheran World Relief Services. (Please click here for photo). From the LWR quilts website, a Quilt and Kit tracker shows individual distributions. In 2016 our shipment of 23 quilts will be in boxes with our church’s unique barcode and we will be able to track our donations to their destinations on the globe. Our Donor ID is 103182 for the Quilt Tracker.
